TMZ says that Weinstein was eating at Elements restaurant at the Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, when a man at the table next to him told him he enjoyed his movies. When Steve, one of two men sitting at the table next to Weinstein, walked over to him to ask for a photo, he was refused.

However, the restaurant's manager countered that neither of Steve's hits - which appear in the video to be backhanded slaps on the cheek - connected with Weinstein. The man repeatedly hurled obscenities at Weinstein before slapping him twice with the back of his hand.

A representative for Weinstein told The Hollywood Reporter in an email that "the TMZ report is accurate". The restaurant's manager has a different side, though. Steve told the site that he had "quite a bit to drink" and asked his companion to start recording a video on his cellphone.

She told TMZ that Weinstein was actually "very sweet about it" and told the man, "I'd rather not take a picture right now".

"You're such a piece of [expletive] for what you did to these women", he reportedly said before punching Weinstein in the face, twice.

Steve and Weinstein shook hands and sat down, but this video shows what happened when they were both leaving the restaurant around 9 PM.

The former movie mogul's career came to a crashing end past year after the New York Times reported multiple allegations of sexual harassment against him that spanned decades.
