And here's how people on social media reacted to the photo shared by Johar. This will be first time that Parineeti will work with Akshay Kumar which means it will be refreshing to watch them together. It didn't go down well with the Tweeple.
While the first look of the film has created quite a buzz, the lead actress of the film was yet to be revealed. The producer-director's Dharma Productions has roped Parineeta Chopra for the period film. He also apologised to his fans and also stated that the picture used by him is misconstrued.
As per reports, the actress really liked the script and is ready to be a part of the project. People on Twitter were quick enough to find the humour in it.
But sadly, Karan Johar posted Akshay Kumar's picture from Kesari instead of posting Parineeti Chopra's image.
Kesari will be directed by Anurag Singh.
The film is based on the battle took place in 1897 between British Indian Army and Afghan Orakzai tribesmen in North-West Frontier Province (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan). Akshay has called it his "most ambitious film".
The first look of Akshay in Kesari showed the actor sporting a turban, and full beard.
