The Lava Red OnePlus 5T features 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage as standard, and will be available on Amazon India from January 20 for ₹37,999, the same price as the regular edition of the 5T. Not that the original OnePlus 5T has been around for a very long time, but, the company's strategy to launch a new colour variant - although it offers more options - out of the blue does tend to confuse buyers somewhat. Out of which, only the Star Wars Edition is available in India but now the Lava Red variant also makes its way to India.
OnePlus made a decision to "revisit a classic" last week, unveiling a special Sandstone White edition of the already lovely and popular 5T smartphone that tapped into the nostalgia of the company's early supporters.
"We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition". It starts at Rs 37,999 ($595.82), which is the same price as the Midnight Black 8/GB/128GB version in the country. The glossy crimson look was obtained through a mix of double blasting, AF coating, and two anodic oxidation processes.
The OnePlus 5T will be first device from the company to feature an immersive display with a resolution of 18:9.
In terms of performance, the device comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU, 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For protection, OnePlus has used Gorilla Glass 5. On the back, there is a dual camera setup of 16 MP and 20 MP sensors both with f/1.7 aperture for better low light photography.
As reported yesterday, OnePlus has finally unveiled the Lava Red variant of the successful sibling of OnePlus 5: the OnePlus 5T. OnePlus has also included a new wallpaper unique to this edition for enhancing the user experience. The handset has dedicated slots for dual-SIM (nano+nano) configuration.
