Bandai Namco is allegedly looking to bring Dark Souls 2 and Dark Souls 3 to the Switch eventually, though there are no plans to release a trilogy collection. The PC version is not so well respected, but the community has crafted a number of mods to improve the experience.
The clarification was reported by Game Informer, who said that Bandai Namco has confirmed there are now no plans to release the Dark Souls trilogy box set "in the Americas". There have been rumors regarding the games existing pouring out since early this morning before Nintendo dropped their mini-direct. The box set will include all three Dark Souls games, each respective game's soundtrack, framed art, Dark Souls' themed bookends, and three dictionaries containing the entirety of Dark Souls' item list. There will also be a separate team entirely for Dark Souls, like how the DOOM port was handled, for the Nintendo Platform to make sure that the game is adapted to the unique controls in the most effective way possible. Nintendo's official blurb says the Switch version will support up to six players via dedicated servers. This will be the first time Dark Souls will be given the remastered treatment, updating the game not only for the PC but for current generation consoles.
