Bortles, who directed the Jaguars to their first postseason appearance since 2007, had 88 yards rushing on 10 attempts and was 12 of 23 passing for 87 yards.

And McDermott lost confidence in the third-year starter in November, when the coach benched Taylor in favor of rookie fifth-round pick Nathan Peterman even though the Bills were 5-4 and in the thick of the AFC playoff picture. Before departing, Taylor completed 17 of 37 passes for 134 yards and a second-quarter interception that was clearly the fault of tight end Logan Thomas, who allowed the pass to bounce off his chest. An intentional grounding penalty on the next play was followed by a Jalen Ramsey interception.

Heading into next Sunday's Divisional Round tilt versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jags coach Doug Marrone conceded there are reasons to be concerned about his offense.

The Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars were both playing in a playoff game for the first time in over a decade. The drive culminated in Blake Bortles' 1-yard touchdown pass to Ben Koyack with 49 seconds remaining in the quarter.

Jacksonville's touchdown drive was a 15-play, 86-yard match that took almost nine minutes and had 12 running plays.

Bortles was the main issue, but wasn't the only one as the offensive line and Leonard Fournette didn't show up today.

Bortles is 11 of 21 for 85 yards while Fournette has 55 yards on 14 carries. McCoy carried 19 times for 75 yards and caught six passes for 44 yards.

The lone touchdown came late in the third quarter, on a fourth-and-goal play from the 1 with the score tied at 3. However, the Buffalo offense looked flat and lifeless throughout the game. In a slog of a game, the Bills couldn't manage more than field goal as it pertains to scoring, falling 10-3. All but one of their drives ended in punts.

That helped set up a game-tying field goal as the teams entered halftime in a 3-3 tie. Killabrew, greeted the first few fans inside the bar with free Bills apparel and served drink specials throughout the game. In the second half, Kizer gained 16 yards on a third-and-15, and he also had a 20-yard scramble on a first down.

It was an overall offensive letdown against Buffalo but Jacksonville still won. Guard Richie Incognito left the game with a shoulder injury and is questionable to return. Jacksonville's Blake Bortles was so very bad, aerially, he was able to complete a pass to only one wide receiver all day - backup Dede Westbrook.

The Jaguars barely scraped together enough points against the mediocre Bills, and it's anyone's guess what they'll do in Pittsburgh.

"They were the better team that day", said Artie Burns.

It was a great story for the Buffalo Bills.

"Right now I'll think about that tomorrow".

Kickoff from Heinz Field is at 1:05 PM EST on Sunday, with the game being televised on CBS. If all else fails, this first playoff game in 18 years at least showed what they obviously need to improve on for next season.

The Carolina Panthers had to wait until the fourth quarter to find the endzone as the New Orleans Saints defence held strong in a 31-26 win.

Marrone used an option in his contract to opt out after the Bills changed ownership after the 2014 season.
