The one-minute clip shows footage from the new episodes of the Emmy-winning dramedy, which have been dubbed "Robbin' Season", because it will center on the rise in crime in Atlanta just before Christmas and New Year's Day.
Season Two will go by the title "Atlanta: Robbin Season" which refers to that time right before Christmas where some people have some extra cash, and some people have extra needs.
Atlanta was nominated for two Emmys after its first season; Glover won the award for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series.
As far as we can tell, Earn (Donald Glover) is still living in a storage unit, hanging out with his boys, and promoting his cousin's music-and maybe even making some money. It's a very tense and desperate time. "So we kind of made that the backdrop to the season and our characters are kind of going through that same desperate kind of transition". "And robbin' season is a metaphor to where we are now". Donald Glover serves as Executive Producer, along with Paul Simms, Dianne McGunigle and Stephen Glover. Lakeith Stanfield also stars as their spacey best friend Darius. The series is produced by FX Productions.
After first serving up a dark, moody teaser for the series' return a month ago, FX has revealed the first full trailer for Atlanta's ten-episode second season, aka Atlanta: Robbin' Season.
