Nokia 6 with 4GB RAM launched in India

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, along with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of onboard storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

HMD Global on Thursday launched the 4GB RAM variant of Nokia 6 (review) in India.

The Nokia 6 will have a hard time competing with the brand new Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, which is sold starting INR 13,999 and packs much better specifications than the smartphone.

Talking about the software, the phone was launched with Android Nougat version out of the box, but the company has now upgraded it to the latest Android Oreo version.

Recollecting some key specifications, the Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch full HD with a screen resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and 2.5d curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Earlier, the Nokia 6 was available in a 3GB RAM variant, which HMD Global had launched back in January past year, alongside the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5.

In terms of specifications, the new Nokia 6 variant is nearly the same as that of the previous model (except the RAM and storage). The phone will be available exclusively on Flipkart from February 20th onwards with a sale and interested buyers can now add themselves under "Notify me" list on the Nokia 6 (4GB) page on the website. As a part of launch offer, users can avail extra Rs 2000 off on exchange on the smartphone. It now has two variants - 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage and 3GB RAM and 32 ROM. It is powered by a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Phase Detection Autofocus and f/2.0 aperture. While at the front, we have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a 1.12um sensor and f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling.

Meanwhile, sensors on board the smartphone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. It gets its juice from 3000mAh battery.
