Xiaomi Mi TV 4 Sold Out In 2 Seconds

The presentation of the Xiaomi Redmi Note and Redmi Note 5 5 Pro was held in India, and where the devices will go on sale on February 22 this year.

The Redmi Note 5 is, the India-variant of the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, which was launched in China in December 2017.

India, today, is the second biggest market for Xiaomi after China, where Xiaomi is also selling other products such as smartwatches, air purifiers, water purifiers, etc. Unlike the Redmi Note 5 Pro which has been launched alongside, the Redmi Note 5 is a small upgrade starting with its large 5.99-inch FullView 18:9 screen, an ergonomic design, a front LED selfie light.

Since its entry in the Indian market in 2014, Xiaomi has been primarily engaged in smartphone manufacturing.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro also highlights a 5.99-inch full-HD (1080×2160 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, and 2.5D rounded glass. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor. As we mentioned, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 comes in two storage variants - 32GB and 64GB - both of which are expandable via microSD card in a hybrid dual-SIM format.

To start with the cashback offer, Reliance Jio users get a cashback of Rs 2,200 on the purchase of Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Note 5. The new sensor has a larger 1.25-micron pixel size which is said to perform better in low light compared to the Redmi Note 4. Over at the rear, you get this iPhone X style camera bump which houses a 12MP f/2.2 main camera and a secondary 5MP f/2.0 shooter for depth of field effects.

The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and is topped with the company's own MIUI 9. It is powered by a 4000mAh battery that's rated to deliver up to 14 hours of continuous video playback, with 5V/2A fast charging. The company has launched both variants with different price tags. The 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model is priced at RM749, while the higher-spec 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option will be coming soon at a later date. Colour options are Black, Gold, Lake Blue, and Rose Gold.

A huge battery is another plus for the Redmi Note 5, and it's good to see the headphone jack still there.

Connectivity options on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB. There are 4GB as well as 6GB RAM variants. The device comes with the first dual-camera setup in a Redmi device. The 12MP camera has f/2.2 aperture while the 5MP camera has f/2.0 aperture. For low-light situations, Xiaomi has included an LED selfie light. The price of 6GB RAM variant is Rs.16,999. Moreover, with its ability to sustain this high-level performance, the Snapdragon is likely to keep the Redmi Note 5 Pro in top order for an extended period of time. The newly launched Mi TV 4 will take on the likes of Samsung, Sony and LG in an all-new segment in the country. It is also added with AI (artificial intelligence) based recommendations UI called PatchWall.

At Rs. 39,999, the Mi TV 4 is one of the cheapest 55-inch 4K TVs available in the Indian market. The devices will be available across Xiaomi's official website, Flipkart and even Mi Home.
