We already knew that the upcoming Captain Marvel, starring Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, will take the MCU back to the '90s, but Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently told Entertainment Weekly that the film will also be an homage to action flicks from that era.

"I mean, I could always list off the characters that we've killed in our movies that haven't come back, but the big ones, which I know they're looking at.?"

The 43-year-old actor was in negotiations with the Marvel to play the superhero character Doctor Strange in the MCU. The script will be written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet based on an earlier draft by Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve.
