Following Jahan's allegations against her husband, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has put his annual contract on hold on Tuesday.

According to reports, Shami has been charged under section 498 A of the Indian Penal Code (IPL) which amounts to cruelty to a woman by her husband or his relatives.

The five have also been booked under bailable sections 323 (causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) among others, he said.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India dropped Shami from a list of contracted players unveiled Wednesday, which saw skipper Virat Kohli and other top Test players awarded salaries just above Dollars 1 million. During an Interview, she also said,"If Mohammed Shami can cheat me then he can cheat the country as well".

The ongoing controversy surrounding India pacer Mohammed Shami, who has been accused of domestic violence, has led to debates over the role of BCCI and the conduct of public figures.

She also said, "Whatever I have posted is just the tip of an iceberg".

Jahan, who tied the knot with Shami in 2014, has been relentless with her accusations as she claimed Thursday, March 8, that she had proof of Shami's involvement in match-fixing. I think Hasin has lost her mental stability.

Earlier this week, Jahan took Facebook and posted screenshots of Shami's alleged WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger conversations with multiple women. "We would like to reiterate this decision has nothing to do with Shami's merit as a player, but it is a safeguard in the prevailing circumstances".

Over the last few days, there has been a new statement from Jahan out in the media, from his alleged affairs with multiple women to accusing him of attempting to murder her. Initially, she had sought help from relatives, but when that did not happen she chose to go to the police.

Hasin Jahan further revealed that Mohammed Shami's family used to torture her relentlessly and in a massive allegation she even said that Shami's family wanted to kill her.

Shami said that all the allegations against him are completely baseless. The fast bowler recently played a vital role in India's Test win against South Africa in Johannesburg.

She added, "If today I do not take this matter to the BCCI then other players will also get the courage to do such things".
