Egyptians overseas vote in presidential elections

According to the National Election Commission (NEC), the days announced for voting for Egyptian expats are March 16, 17 and 18, where voters will choose one of the two candidates for the presidency.

Speaking during a visit to the Ministry of the Interior yesterday, Al-Sisi said coming out to vote "represents support to the state and its project".

The Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs has launched an operation room to follow up on the 2018 presidential election overseas. "As a representative of the Egyptian state in the United Kingdom, I feel proud of the intensive turnout of all ages and classes", Kamel added in a phone conversation with anchor Osama Kamal on DMC satellite channel on Friday.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi has called on people to participate in the upcoming presidential elections even if they plan to vote against him.

A total of 139 polling stations have been set up in Egyptian embassies and consulates in 124 countries. Hundreds of Egyptians gathered to see the trophy and take photos with it. Former French footballer Christian Karembeu was present at the event and praised the first Egypt football team to reach the World Cup finals in 28 years.
