In case you missed this whole feud, the VP was ticked off last month over comments the comedian made while discussing Omarosa's "Big Brother" warning that Pence is an "extreme" Christian who believes "Jesus tells him to say things". "She called me. She was very honest, and she apologized and one of the things my faith teaches me is grace; forgive as you've been forgiven", Pence told Hannity...
Tuesday at the opening of "The View" Behar apologized for her comments mocking the idea that the vice president heard the voice of Jesus during the February 13 episode.
Prior to Behar's personal call to Pence, the vice president issued a statement during the C-Span that took place a day after the tirade was aired about his opinion, saying that comparing Christianity to mental illness is simply wrong.
"The View" played the clip of Pence at the outset of Tuesday's show, and Behar responded as Pence hoped.
But Pence said he encouraged Behar to go further. "She made a call to him and apologized, which I thought was absolutely appropriate".
On "The View" on Tuesday, Behar said, "I think Vice President Pence is right".
Last week, Disney CEO Bob Iger told company shareholders that Behar had called Pence to apologize.
Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center, which urged Christians to write and call ABC, said Behar's private phone apology is inadequate.
"I said to Joy, of course I forgive you, it's part of my faith experience", he continued.
McCain added that she has sometimes felt that "liberals say, "We need to be tolerant of everyone" except prolifers, except Trump supporters, except gun owners, except for everyone in the red in the middle of the country".
Brian Flood covers the media for Fox News.
Hannity quipped back, "So does mine, but I'm not as good at it as you".
