Disney have confirmed that this is not somewhere fans will recognise, as they are bringing to life the new planet Batuu, which is apparently located in the Outer Rim of the galaxy. Even few men boast the array of proven skills - writing, acting, directing, VFX-that Jon Favreau has.

A new fly-through video released by the company shows all the progress made in the construction of the land, dubbed "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge".

Favreau is no stranger to Disney.

Favreau, 51, whose directorial credits also includes "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2", will also executive produce the series which will be launched on Disneys streaming platform.

Batuu as the planet will be named and can now be seen in Star Tours in Tomorrowland really gets any fan excited.

Favreau already has a storied relationship with the Star Wars franchise having voiced a character in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, and also has a role in the Han Solo movie launching in cinemas this summer. He kickstarted the MCU with Iron Man and has since directed Iron Man 2, The Jungle Book and is now working on The Jungle Book 2.

He also directed and produced Disney's The Jungle Book and is now in production on Disneys highly anticipated reimagined The Lion King which is slated for a 2019 release. "I cant wait to embark upon this exciting adventure", Favreau said in a statement. The Mouse likes to keep its secrets close to the vest.
