"I have been compared with those who dance and work in films", Agrawal said, a comment that the BJP was quick to reject. I did not find it proper. His term as a Rajya Sabha member ends April 2, while Bachchan has once again been nominated to the House by the SP, reported PTI.

Mr Agrawal also said that his MLA son will vote in favour of the BJP in the Rajya Sabha polls.

Her condemnation for Agrawal came just moments after the latter left the Samajwadi Party to join the BJP. He made the controversial remark in that context.

Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday after being denied a ticket to the Rajya Sabha. He is welcome. However, his comments regarding Jaya Bachhanji are improper and unacceptable, " Ms Swaraj said in a tweet. Par meri koi shart nahi aya, koi Rajya Sabka ki ticket ki maang nahi hai.

"I have not joined the Bharatiya Janata Party for any Rajya Sabha ticket, nor have I set any condition".

He expressed his admiration for prime minister Narendra Modi and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

Agrawal also said he felt that he can not serve the entire country till he was in a national party.

Welcoming him into the party, Goyal said he would strengthen it. The Samajwadi Party is going downhill.

"My society is already with BJP".

Today has not been the first time when Naresh spewed out an offensive comment.

Agarwal has often changed parties in the last over 30 years of his political career.

Agrawal, who was in the Congress earlier, is not new to controversy.
