Mel looked down and said nothing as the rest of the hosts started shrieking and clamoring to be a plus-one.

The news comes as Spice Girls manager, Simon Fuller hinted that Victoria may not be going on the reunion tour. The singer appeared to hint that not only is she attending the nuptials, but that the Spice Girls themselves may be performing.

"Take That gig every year but you know [the Spice Girls] they've had about five years off now!"

When asked by TMZ if Victoria has "signed off" for a tour, he replied: "It may be four, not five". "Maybe she knows something I don't".

Nineties pop royalty the Spice Girls have been invited to the spring wedding of Britain's Prince Harry and United States actress Meghan Markle, according to band member Mel B.

Fans across the world had a meltdown earlier this month when all the Spice Girls - Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C - recently all met for lunch at Geri's house in London - the first time they had all been in the same room together for six years, sparking rumours of a reunion tour.

Although she confirmed receiving an invite, Mel B refused to answer whether or not the Spice Girls will be performing at the reception. "Why am I so honest?" She did not directly reveal that they are performing, but hosts Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, and Tamera Mowry could not help but celebrate in advance by judging just Mel B's reaction.

Harry, Queen Elizabeth's grandson and fifth in line to the throne, will tie the knot with actress Meghan Markle on May 19 at Windsor Castle.

"I'm going to be fired", Mel eventually joked.

She says that that the ladies are indeed reconvening, and for a very special occasion: the royal wedding. "See, now that's getting too personal if I actually describe it", she said, before indicating that it was a "proper" invite.
