And while it's not clear that she'll prevail in that legal fight, it is clear that her appearance in the news has been good for her marketability.
CNN's Anderson Cooper is a contributor to "60 Minutes", and CNN reported Thursday that he had taped an interview with Clifford to be aired "on a future episode" of the show, according to an unnamed "source involved" with the taping. Cohen and Daniels signed the agreement to secure her silence on October 28, 2016, just days before the presidential election.
"I've been in the adult business for 17 years, so to make it that long in that business you have to have a really tough skin, and so most of it rolls off my shoulders because it's an opinion", she said.
She said she was taking in stride being one of the most spoken-about people in America, and all that it comes with.
In the suit, Daniels claimed she had an affair with Trump in 2006 and 2007.
In a Wednesday night statement about the restraining order, Cohen's lawyer Lawrence Rosen said the arbitration judge concluded that Daniels "had violated the agreement and enjoined her from, among other things, filing this lawsuit".
Cohen has never stated the reason for payment.
"We intend to pursue our recourse in the context of the arbitration as agreed to by the parties and continue to categorically refute the claims alleged by Ms. Clifford and her counsel", Rosen said. We are out of words to describe what Mr Cohen is trying to sell to the American public.
He then claimed that it would have been impossible for Cohen to undertake the extensive work of a non-disclosure agreement without the consultation or authorization of Trump. "So that's been really great", she said.
