WWE Fastlane 2018 predictions, matches, how to watch, more

Women's Championship: Charlotte Flair (c) vs.

There is some fear on my part that the company will throw fans a curveball Sunday at the Fastlane pay-per-view, where the victor of the match may not be the current WWE World Champion.

Flair performed an outstanding moonsault on her opponent during the match.

There was also a SmackDown tag team title match between The Usos and The New Day, and a United States championship clash between Bobby Roode and Randy Orton.

SmackDown women's champion Charlotte Flair also has her Wrestlemania match confirmed, after Raw star and women's Royal Rumble victor Asuka announced that she would be challenging Charlotte next month.

Nakamura's time as NXT champion and the lead-up to him winning the Royal Rumble was covered, and it made him look like a legitimate top guy with a great chance of winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Both Owens and Zayn would interfere by attacking the competitors to assure their match wasn't a Fatal-4-Way.

WWE Fastlane 2018 is the final pay-per-view on the road to WrestleMania 34.

The Usos and The New Day began the match on a high when the two teams performed each other's finishing moves. Everything was rounded out with the addition of John Cena last week, presumably to punch up the main event's star power.

Going by the history of WWE, mostly all the departing veteran superstars have followed the pattern Cena is following.

Ziggler for once got the better of Kevin Owens and went for the pin but Sami Zayn saved it but was soon cleared by Baron Corbin, who took the steel steps and started hitting everyone around. However, the match is interrupted by "The Bludgeon Brothers (Eric Rowan and Luke Harper)' and it results in a 'No Contest". The win also confirmed that a Wrestle Kingdom 10 rematch with 2018 Royal Rumble victor Shinsuke Nakamura will be one of WrestleMania 34's headliners. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Styles is indeed a dream match and a New Japan rematch that fans have been wanting to see since both of their debuts. That seems like a long-shot however, so go with Styles to retain.

This was the most anticipated match of the night and sadly, ended up being the most disappointing. I get shivers thinking about it, and I think it would definitely work.

It seems like The Undertaker just can't retire.

After beating Rusev at WWE Fastlane on Sunday, Shinsuke Nakamura should be among the featured parts of SmackDown programming every week until WrestleMania 34 on April 8.
