Thanking the jury for awarding "Newton", Masurkar said in a statement: "I hope this award and the film's commercial success creates a bigger space for relevant political cinema".

The wait to hear the best films of 2017 is finally over. Ganesh Acharya has won the award for Best Choreography for the song Goli Tu Lath maar in Toilet Ek Prem Katha.
