Phipps adopted the boy and named him Vaughn.
"She said, 'It's Samantha from the plane, '" Phipps said.
"Officer Bowen did a fantastic job, responding calmly and professionally to help a family in need", King said.
"Through the course of discussion, she shared that she was concerned about she was going to do", Phipps said of Snipes.
After finding out she was expecting, a woman chose to text the last person she slept with.
At the time, Snipes was unsure what to do about the pregnancy, debating whether or not to terminate it or give the baby up for adoption.
After the alleged rape took place in his auto, he pointed the gun at her stomach.

But the tide began to turn after Samantha met a guy on the internet while playing a web game called "League of Legends". The pair grew close, and though she was eight months pregnant at the time, he told her he wanted to meet.

Coincidentally, Phipps she had been looking into adopting a child but said she felt pushed aside by agencies because she was single, according to ABC.
Going straight to see her doctor out of hours that day, she was referred to the breast specialist at Lancashire's Chorley and South Ribble Hospital later that month. It's unclear where they work.
"I want everyone to know that even though the walls may feel as if they are closing in on you, if you just trust your heart and have faith, it will get better", she said. I have met a love, as well as meeting a once in a lifetime friend.
