Prior to the official launch of the new smartphone Huawei P20 Pro in Saudi market end of this month, Huawei Consumer Business Group announced the availability of the new device for pre-booking by authorized retailers in Saudi Arabia starting from April 19 at SAR 2,899. That said, the company did not mention about the phones it's going to unveil, but it's expected that the Huawei P20 Lite and P20 Pro will be launched in the country, ignoring the regular P20.
The Huawei P20 Pro features a 6.1-inch AMOLED display sporting a FHD+ resolution of 1080x2240 pixels with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Up front, there will be a 24-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling.
The Huawei P20 Pro is notable for having three cameras at the back, with a 40MP sensor joined by a 20MP monochrome sensor and an 8MP telephoto lens that offers 3x optical zoom. With the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro out of the bag, the online-centric sub-brand is expected to release a similar smartphone that carries a lower price tag. The phone comes in black, midnight blue, pink gold and twilight colour options.
Inside, the P20 Pro gets Huawei's HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC that is paired with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The render also reveals that the camera has an aperture of f/1.6.
Huawei P20 Lite will be a more affordable variant and is expected to be priced at about Rs 20,000 in India.
The mix of features continues with a 3.5mm audio jack, unlike the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro. The smartphone also features a front mounted fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with EMUI 8.1 on top. Huawei P20 Lite also resembles a lot like the iPhone X thanks to the notch at the top of display and vertically aligned dual rear cameras. It is coupled with 6GB of RAM. Huawei P20 Lite features dual rear cameras, a combination of 16MP and 2MP sensors.
