"The real culprit of Unnao's victim, who was raped reportedly in June 2017, and who pleaded at the doorstep of the BJP CM even attempting self-immolation is no one but the Chief Minister and he should immediately be sacked", said Surjewala.

The victim's family also alleged that the accused MLA's brother, Atul Singh Sengar, along with his companions also raped the girl and thrashed the victim's father on April 3 for refusing to withdraw the FIR over the same. Her family alleged that she was raped by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and his accomplice previous year, and no action was taken against the accused. Senior party leader and former state minister IP Singh had claimed: "Yogi Adityanath had taken the decision to arrest Kuldeep Sengar. The commission will cater to those who have been left deprived (of the benefits of government schemes) due to conspiracy", said the chief minister at a function where he was conferred with "Dalit Mitra" (Friend of Dalit) award by Ambedkar Mahasabha. "The party has to suffer the outcome of this decision".
The probe agency, after detaining Sengar on Friday morning, filed three FIRs in the rape case and the death of victim's father in judicial custody.
The CBI registered three cases on April 13 against accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in connection with the case.
Yogi said, "Investigation has been handed over to the CBI". Her family alleged that she was raped by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and his associates previous year, and no action was taken against the accused.
The members were taken into custody by the police.
