We've already had new Nokia phones this year but at least one more is seemingly coming soon, as a handset called the Nokia X has been teased for an April 27 announcement. HMD Global will remain tight lipped about this device and it may come up with a surprise launch as it will be an important smartphone in the company's portfolio. They also say that it can be a smartphone middle class, and not a competitor to the iPhone X.
The digital ad doesn't reveal any specification or design element. There haven't even been any leaks/rumours about the device so far. It is now unknown whether this will be a smartphone that will launch globally, or be reserved for certain Asian markets.
The Nokia X has appeared in a China based advert (below) where two of the phones are laid across each other to make an "X". However, we believe otherwise.
If the Nokia X is indeed a mid-range smartphone, it is likely to be priced similarly to the Nokia 7 Plus in the Indian market.
The upcoming Nokia X is thought to be different from the original Nokia X handset launched in 2014.
Our advice is to take this info with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for some concrete news which can be expected just a few days prior to the official launch on April 27.
