"We will be doing another crossover event this fall on The CW [and] we will be introducing a new character".
When announcing the news, Amell stood in front of a backdrop that included his character Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow, alongside Grant Gustin's Barry Allen aka The Flash, and Melissa Benoist's Kara Danvers aka Supergirl.
"For the very first time, we'll be fighting alongside Batwoman, which is terrific", Amell told the audience at New York City Center gathered for The CW's upfront presentation.
In recent years, Batwoman (real name Katherine Kane) has become a big part of the extended Batman family.
CW president Mark Pedowitz confirmed that the introducing of Batwoman will be the first time the character will make an appearance "on any screen".

Let the speculation begin as to which version of Batwoman they're going to go with for the Arrowverse.
