"Happy Together will star Damon Wayans Jr. and Amber Stevens West playing a suburban married couple whose life is interrupted by a young popstar (played by Felix Mallard) who comes to live with them".
That's the basic storyline of Happy Together, a sitcom coming to CBS in the fall that will be executive produced by aforementioned heartthrob, Harry Styles, and Ben Winston, the Late Late Show exec producer who let Styles sleep on his couch during the One Direction singer's rocket rise to pop stardom.
The plotline will follow a pretty pivotal period in Harry Styles' life - it'll follow the baby-stages of One Direction's jaunt on X-Factor to their historical superstardom. In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine past year he told how Styles was originally supposed to move in with him and his wife for a couple weeks as a house he was looking at nearby needed some work. However, the pop star ended up sleeping on a mattress in the attic for 20 months.
'That period of time, he was living with us in the most mundane suburban situation. Even when we went out for a meal, it's such a sweet family neighbourhood, no one dreamed it was actually him. "And when he moved out, we were gutted".
He continued: "We'd be in bed like an old couple... and the door would go off. So I think he really, really does care".
Happy Together will air on Mondays at 8:30 p.m ET on CBS.
It's not the first time Harry has ventured out of the world of music, as the actor also appeared in the film Dunkirk.
