The outlet says that the Pittsburgh native was driving in the San Fernando Valley area around 1 A.M. when he hit the pole and knocked it down.
One witness reportedly told the cops that the "Dang!" crooner, and his two passengers, fled on foot.
According to TMZ, eyewitnesses called the cops and reported which way they saw the three running.
Because the vehicle, and its license plate, were left behind, the police were able to track down Miller at his home where he confessed to driving drunk and fleeing the scene, TMZ reported, and the rapper was sent to jail with $15,000 bail.
However, the responding officers to the incident ran the SUV's license plate and tracked the 26 year old rapper down at his house, where he confessed to drunk driving and hit-and-run.
Mac Miller walked out of jail Thursday morning not wanting to talk about his DUI arrest - and, apparently, not wanting folks to see his face either.
