According to IMDb, Mr Markle was a director of photography for TV comedy classic Married with Children and lighting director for soap opera General Hospital.
The pictures show a lonely Mr Markle browsing images of his daughter and Prince Harry in an internet cafe, lifting weights to get in shape for the wedding, and being fitted for a suit for the big day.
The photos were taken less than two months before the wedding and reportedly sold for almost $140,000 by the paparazzi agency who took the photographs.
Markle Sr.'s daughter from another marriage, Samantha Markle, took the blame for the allegedly staged paparazzi photos.
She tweeted: "The media was unfairly making him look bad so I suggested he do positive photos for his benefit and the benefit of the royal family. It was my suggestion that to benefit him and to benefit the royal family that everyone looked good and they depict you as you are - in shape and doing healthy things".
Mr Markle is also reported to have suffered a heart attack in recent days.
Ms Ragland is a yoga instructor based in Los Angeles.
It is thought that if Mr Markle does not attend the wedding, Ms Markle's mother will accompany her down the aisle.
"Meghan has no relationship with her half-siblings, nor has she ever had one", the source said.
"Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. If not, we will still be cheering her on". "They have an wonderful relationship, they're very close and they always have been". Speculation begins as to whether Meghan will keep her father in the wedding party, or if he will be invited at all.
Meghan has posted messages on social media about her father.
Thomas Markle, Jr. claimed the family was "deeply embarrassed" by the phony images.
The outlet, which was also the first to break the news of Thomas's decision, reports that Kensington Palace was completely "blindsided" by the decision.
Meanwhile, Ms Grant was reportedly writing a book with the working title The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister. "They rented the house next to him in Mexico, four or five of them, he can't open his blinds, he can't go anywhere without being followed", she said.
Samantha confirmed the family didn't do it for money, but didn't deny that her father had been paid.
