"The decision I make is taken with 100 percent certainty, as I did at Real Sociedad or when I came here".

Antoine Griezmann, a target for Barcelona, has announced he will stay at Atletico Madrid on a television documentary called "La Decision".

You'll all be sick of the comments they're making, about whether I'm going or staying, how much they offer me and how much they don't.

The show was reminiscent of highly scrutinized LeBron James's 2010 decision.

However, Griezmann, who is now on World Cup duty with France, made the announcement to stay with Atletico on Spanish television outlet Movistar+.

The documentary attempted to emphasise that Griezmann was deliberating over his future for the past two months, before it finally revealed that the Frenchman had made up his mind on June 3.

"I spoke to him before the holidays and his goal is to play another great season with us and then go to a great team to improve".

The tease is part of a promotion by Movistar Plus, who have billed it as "The Decision", with the hashtag #LaDecision on social media.

The La Liga giants agreed a fee with Monaco to sign Griezmann's worldwide team-mate Thomas Lemar.

His "decision" behind him, Griezmann can now focus on the World Cup with France.

The France striker had been heavily linked with a €100 million (£88 million) move to Barcelona this summer, having a year ago been a reported target for Manchester United. Sources said Griezmann worked actively to bring Lemar to Atletico.

Throughout the whole process, even after Griezmann's news conference, Barca remained optimistic that months of work would end up with the signing being completed.
