Dhadak is the Bollywood debut of Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of the late screen icon Sridevi, and Ishaan Khatter, half-brother of actor Shahid Kapoor.

As Janhvi Kapoor is set to embark on her new journey, the doting brother Arjun Kapoor apologised to her for not being "by her side".

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is producing Dhadak, also revealed that hit songs Zingaat and Yedlagla from Sairat have been remade while there are two original songs in Dhadak.

With such an impactful trailer, we can't wait to watch the romantic drama already!

Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar and Zee Studios, "Dhadak" is an adaptation of the critically acclaimed Marathi blockbuster, Sairat.

Janhvi's debut comes a few months after Sridevi's sudden death at the age of 54 in February. "I think I have tried to do that".

Janhvi also admitted she was quite nervous at her first trailer launch: "I am nervous but also happy". The second half has to be different, she told me... It's not gonna be easy but I know your are ready for all the madness that will ensue. Replying to Arjun, Janhvi commented, "I will make you proud".

Janhvi's family including father Boney, sister Khushi, uncles Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor and cousins Harshvardhan Kapoor, Mohit Marwah were also present at the event to encourage her. Actor Neelima Azeem was also there to support her son Ishaan.

Soorma is scheduled to release on July 13th of this year whereas Dhadak will roll out a week after on July 20th.
