E3 2018 - Devolver Digital Announce Updated Version of Metal Wolf Chaos

Metal Wolf Chaos XD

Metal Wolf Chaos XD, a lost From Software classic from 2004, is getting a remaster

Metal Wolf Chaos originally appeared on the Xbox in Japan. The game is being restyled as Metal Wolf Chaos XD, and is planed to be release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC later this year.

The trailer for the game, revealed at Devolver's frankly mad E3 conference, doesn't make a lot of sense, if I'm honest. The company posted a Twitter post later that month to FromSoftware's Yasunori Ogura stating, "Give us a shout, we'd love to talk about Metal Wolf Chaos!". As the 47th President of the United States, it is your sworn duty to take your country back by any means necessary and end this unjust coup d'etat! Battle in your advanced mech... armed to the teeth... across iconic American landscapes including the Brooklyn Bridge, the Grand Canyon, and the front steps of the White House.

We don't have any further details just yet, but we'll update you as soon as we get more news. The game centers around a comically fictionalized version of the state of United States, and has the President defending the country from threat in a enormous mech-suit dubbed "Metal Wolf".

Devolver Digital and General Arcade are handling this port, which will upscale the game but retain its original (all English) voice-acting and general zaniness.
