It's been a while since Square Enix has used E3 for any major announcements, but they're going all-in this year, started with a pre-recorded livestream featuring their current line-up.
Square Enix announced The Quiet Man during its E3 showcase this year.
If you've played any of the other games in this origin trilogy, then you should know what to expect by now.
A number of Square Enix titles have already been revealed at some of the other showcases including Kingdom Hearts III and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
That gameplay demo was heavily focused on stealth, so if sneaking around and offing enemies before they ever see you is your style, then there could very well be a lot to love in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter: World are joining up to make two groups of nerds incredibly happy. From the looks of it, it's a fantasy-themed action game with possible co-op (right at the end of the teaser trailer we can see four characters standing together, presumably before entering battle).
Just Cause 4 is confirmed as coming to PC and PS4 on December 4 with a new gameplay trailer above. The teaser was a unusual mixture of live action and in-game graphics, but the central gimmick seems to be that the main character is deaf. It also tells us that the game can be completed in one sitting, so The Quiet Man is definitely an intriguing game.
The Amazing Adventures of Captain Spirit will release for free on June 26.
Rico Rodriguez returns in Just Cause 4 with his trademark parachute, wingsuit and, of course his grapple hook, now enhanced with new functionality and fully customisable.
Square Enix's press conference, if it can be called that, was an interesting experience to say the least. Not much else is known at the moment, though you can watch a trailer for it below.
