The siblings demonstrated their similarities to the average toddler while blissfully playing, rather than watching, dad Prince William compete in the Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy match in Gloucester, England on Sunday.
After the pictures emerged, several people took to Twitter to voice their outrage and suggest that the royal family should have been more mindful about the toys they give Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
But the prince and princess were clearly having far too much fun to actually sit down and watch the match.
"Sad to see George playing with a gun with the whole country has a gun/knife crime situation", another said. The 4-year-old also played with a host of other toys that his mother had packed in her tote bag.
Prince William and Kate Middleton's four year old son appeared to be in a mischievous mood as he stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with the rest of his family, including Princess Charlotte, talking the whole way through the National Anthem.
George could be seen occupying himself with a rainbow slinky, toy guns and a kids' polo set, and rifling through Mum's handbag (naturally).
There was no sign of Prince Louis, who was born last month.
The Cambridge children were joined by cousins Savannah and Isla Phillips, who made headlines over the weekend thanks to their sassy Trooping the Colour antics.
