Cardi filed her countersuit Thursday in federal court, and in the docs she says Shaft set up a management deal with her that she considers far too one-sided.

Rapper Cardi B has been hit with a $10 million lawsuit brought by her former manager Klenord Raphael, who accused his former client and Quality Control Management of alleged breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and defamation. It's not immediately obvious if Cardi is claiming the deal she signed with her manager was worse than a 360 deal but the "Bodak Yellow" rapper clearly stated she wants to secure her future for her growing family.

Cardi B is preparing for motherhood by going after her former manager for trying to control her life.

In April, Cardi had a suit filed against her by Raphael, who claimed he'd helped to develop her talent and reputation only for her to turn her back on him when she reached the top of the music business. He got a commission off of her record deal - which was well within his right to receive - but, she claimed, Shaft also wanted 50 percent of her Sony Music publishing deal.

After filing the complaint, a representative for Raphael explained: "Since discovering Cardi B in 2015, Shaft has played an integral role in developing her music career and public image".

The counterclaim, filed by Almanzar, (minus Foster, Quality Control Management, Lee and Thomas), denies nearly all but the basic allegations, acknowledging that Foster is indeed her publicist, for example, or that she did indeed sign a management contract and recording contract with Raphael and his company WorldStar.

Now, Cardi B is countersuing Raphael for $15 million, accusing him of "self-dealing" and "deceitful and disloyal conduct".

As the documents read, as Cardi became more successful, "so too did Shaft's greed".

In one instance, he said Offset contacted him late a year ago, saying he was a "snake" who had taken more than his fair share of Cardi B's earnings.

Cardi B is represented by long-standing attorney for The Beatles, Paul LiCalsi.

Cardi B is now one of the hottest hip-hop artists with the success of her smash hit "Bodak Yellow" previous year. This apparently included her relationships as she claims Shaft would tell her "who she should and should not see romantically".
