Former UCLA Star Billy Knight Found Dead After Goodbye Message

After seeing the video, some of Knights former teammates and others attempted to reach out to him, according to CalHi Sports. Knight's official cause of death has yet to be determined, but will be examined by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner.

"I just want to say that I lived a life of sin".

Former UCLA basketball star was found dead Sunday morning, authorities said.

Knight was pronounced dead around 3 a.m. on Sunday after he was found in a downtown roadway.

He begins by saying "This is probably my last message on Earth". According to Phoenix police, there are no signs of foul play. I lied, I cheated and I stole from many people. Basketball coach Dinos Trigonis said on Twitter that he knew the Knight family for more than 20 years.

Mental illness is a bad disease and should be treated very seriously.

Knight played guard for the Bruins from 1997-2002 where he averaged 8 points and 2.2 rebounds per game, including 14.1 points per game in a breakout senior year where he started all 33 games. Unfortunately, Knight couldn't get the help he needed in time, and UCLA fans have to say goodbye to another athlete far too early. "I will be in Heaven or Hell".

UCLA's basketball program issued a statement saying, "Our hearts are heavy after learning Billy Knight has passed away". "We ask that the Bruin family keep Billy's loved ones in their thoughts during this hard time". He later played professionally in France and Japan. At the time of his death, he had been on the staff of the Northern Arizona Suns, a developmental G league team affiliated with the NBA's Phoenix Suns.

On Instagram, former Phoenix Suns head coach and UCLA teammate Earl Watson posted a short video clip of him and Knight laughing in a vehicle.
