Here's the Trailer for Season 6 of 'Orange Is the New Black'

The First Trailer For ‘Orange Is The New Black’ Season Six Shows Life In Max

‘Orange Is the New Black’ heads to maximum security in season 6 trailer

Orange is the New Black Season 6 launches globally on Netflix Friday, July 27th. In this new trailer, we finally discover where those buses were headed: a maximum security prison.

The women of Litchfield have entered a completely new world in the Orange Is the New Black season 6 trailer, which Netflix dropped Monday morning.

After a polarizing Season 5 which followed the real-time rioting of the outraged Litchfield inmates, Season 6 picks up with the law back on hand and cracking down more than ever. The women have to start from the bottom and have to navigate new rules and power dynamics, getting hazed by inmates and tortured by guards. The series has been renewed for a seventh - and possibly final - season.

"You don't know how strong my girls are", Kate Mulgrew's Red utters in her thick Russian accent. Maritza, the character played by Diane Guerrero and BFF to Flaca, is not visible in any scenes from the trailer. With their new stomping grounds come an array of new problems: namely the explosive inmate rivalries based on the colors of their uniforms, and the violent riots that ensue because of them. The almost 2-and-half-minute trailer is just what Orange is the New Black fans need to wait out the next few weeks.

We're sure you'll be counting down the days, and luckily, you only have to wait until 27 July. Orange is the New Black changes things up dramatically by moving the Litchfield ladies out of Litchfield and dumping them in maximum security. Of course we're going to watch it, but this is the first time an upcoming season of the show feels more like an assignment rather than something we're looking forward to.
