She remained in the Nueces County jail on Wednesday on a charge of sale or purchase of a child.

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers executed a search warrant after finding a seven-year-old boy who they say was sold by his mother to two men.

The suspect is accused of selling a 7-year-old boy to two men.

Two other people with Garza were arrested on drug-related charges. Garza was also in the process of selling two other children - a 2-year-old girl and a 3-year-old girl - as well, officials said.

According to an arrest report affidavit of probable cause acquired Thursday by 3News, the seven-year-old boy was sold for $2,500.

A man and woman were arrested as a result of the drug investigation and more charges are expected in that case.

After her arrest, officers transported Garza to the Nueces County Jail where she was booked with bond set at $100,000.

Garza is charged with sale or purchase of a child, which is a third degree felony.

Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
