According to TMZ, the documents state that Pitt has not paid "meaningful child support" since they first separated nearly two years ago.
On Tuesday, Angelina Jolie's lawyers brought a new filing to court alleging that Brad Pitt hasn't paid ANY "meaningful" child support for the a year ago and a half during their ongoing divorce proceedings - a HUGE accusation, if proven to be true! Per the filing, Jolie intends to file for retroactive child support. "As of present, [Pitt] has paid no meaningful child support since separation", wrote Jolie's attorney, Samantha Bley DeJean, in a two-page brief filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Just when we thought the dramatic divorce proceedings between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt (aka Brangelina) were coming to a close, it seems there's a new wrinkle to the almost two-year battle.
Since the former couple have yet to officially divorce any financial agreement was an "informal arrangement" according to DeJean. The problem is, every single time their attorneys have tried to hash out the terms for child support, just as they're about to reach an agreement, Angelina has suddenly changed the goalpost.
Additionally, the documents state that Jolie must provide Pitt with personal cell phone numbers for each child and allow him to text them whenever he wants.
People close to Pitt think that Jolie pre-emptively filed the papers as a warning shot, because Pitt had told her he wanted to restart the formal divorce process. Their eldest son Maddox was adopted from Cambodia in 2002.
"[Pitt] has a duty to pay child support".
Pitt and Jolie also have three children together, biologically: their daughter Shiloh was born in 2006, and their twins Knox and Vivienne were born in 2008.
Meanwhile, another source told HollywoodLife that Jolie keeps "changing the rules" despite Pitt doing his best to be responsible for his family.
When asked how Jolie was coping (as seen in the video above), she said, "My focus is my children, our children, and my focus is finding this way through".
