As Anderson struck an unpleasant shot from the woods, his golf ball appeared to hit a tree stump before smashing him powerfully in the face from close range. Surely Golf is a sport James would stay away from, henceforth.
The England fans following Stuart Broad's various social media accounts would have had their heart in their mouth as he posted a video of his new-ball partner James Anderson injuring himself while playing Golf. When Anderson attempted to shoot the ball back onto the fairway, the ball bounced back and hit his face. He was surely looking out to unwind himself ahead of the second test match between India and England which is scheduled to start on August 9 at the Lord's Stadium.
Firstly, questions have to be asked about Anderson's initial tee shot as the 36-year-old is seen in a wooded area and standing over the ball, contemplating how he is going to get out of the trees.
Broad, who was there when the incident took place, uploaded the video on his official Twitter handle and said England's highest wicket-taker "is perfectly fine".
Indian skipper Virat Kohli's brilliant batting display went in vain as England defeated India by 31 runs in the opening Test of the ongoing five-match series at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground on Saturday. It was surely a hilarious moment for Stuart who recorded the whole incident.
Dawid Malan has been dropped from the squad while star all-rounder Ben Stokes will miss the Test as he is facing a court hearing next week in Bristol.
