Flames inside a plastics factory in England produced a stunning spectacle rarely seen.
Firefighters have now released footage of the blaze and the mesmerising firenado, which reached a height of over 50ft.
A "firenado" has been filmed by Leicestershire fire and rescue service as they responded to a plastic pallet blaze in Derbyshire.
Derbyshire Police have said an investigation into the cause of the fire is under way and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Plumes of smoke could be seen up to 26 miles away in Nottingham while nearby residents were told to keep their windows closed after 60ft-high flames cause thick black smoke to billow into the sky.
The cause of the fire at Ravensbourn Plastics Ltd on Occupation Lane, in Albert Village, Swadlincote is not yet known.
The fire had also spread to another building on the site and a number of forklift trucks at the property, Derbyshire fire and rescue service said.
East Midlands Ambulance Service attended but no injuries were reported.
Firefighters were joined by colleagues from other counties as they tried to prevent the fire spreading.
Speaking to a local newspaper, Russell Meredith, operational director of the factory, said: "The main thing is that no-one is hurt and that everyone is safe".
