The 38-year-old former child star was arrested on Saturday around 12:47 a.m.in Oroville, California. After pleading no contest, he was sentenced to 150 days in the Los Angeles County Jail. Police "cut him a break" and released him after a few hours in custody.
This is the latest legal drama for Weiss.
'Mighty Ducks' actor Shaun Weiss was shockingly arrested in Northern California on August 4 after he was reportedly found acting bizarrely with a flashlight while under the influence of drugs.
A United States court initially sentenced him to 150 days in jail for that crime, but he wound up being released after just 12 days due to prison overcrowding, which is a horribly depressing sentence.
Weiss has been arrested on drug charges before, including meth possession one year ago. His representative called the jail sentence "the best thing for him", adding: "He has hit his bottom".
His rep did not immediately return a request for comment on Monday.
Hopefully he gets some help.
In addition to his Mighty Ducks fame, Shaun is known for his small role in the 2008 film Drillbit Taylor which starred Owen Wilson.
Oroville police said officers found Weiss near a business and he appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
