CBSSports.com reports that t he Sag Harbor Police Department issued a release that said France was arrested at 7:30 p.m. local time, not long after Chase Elliott secured his first career win in the NASCAR Cup Series at Watkins Glen. France spent the night in jail and was released Monday morning after his arraignment.
Details surrounding France's arrest were not released. "Upon traffic stop, it was determined that Mr France was operating said vehicle in an intoxicated condition".
France could not be reached for comment.
