Man Utd transfer news Paul Pogba helped France win their second World Cup

Paul Pogba may want to leave Manchester United but the midfielder will not get his wish this summer.

The Catalan giants submitted a bid that would see £45m go the other way, along with United target Yerry Mina and central midfielder Andre Gomes.

According to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, French midfielder Paul Pogba's agent has met up with Barcelona chiefs and negotiated on a deal to lure the United star to Camp Nou.

The French star player has been having a hard relationship with Jose Mourinho and it is believed that Raiola is ready to use that as a reason for Pogba wanting to move out of Old Trafford. However, there have been constant rumors of the 25-year-old Pogba having bust-ups with manager Mourinho as the two clashed with their particular ego's.

"I hope someone can catch them - it would be nice, so hopefully Manchester United can". Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below.

This comes on the back of the souring of Pogba's relationship with Mourinho.

Pogba was inconsistent last season and was even dropped at one stage by Mourinho.

Fair play to Mourinho though, Pogba did have a string of bad games for which he was heavily criticized for.

United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is naturally understood to be unwilling to sell club-record signing Pogba - a stance backed by former defender Rio Ferdinand, just as a move for Alderweireld would be. True, he had a great World Cup but that's a string of 6 or 7 games.

It is interesting to add that unless Mourinho is able to secure an apt replacement for him in the few days that remain, a deal in this window seems unlikely. "I'm a coach. Give me a group of players and I will coach them". But he should stay and not throw tantrums. A whole world. A whole universe to itself.
