The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL handsets should arrive tomorrow, but those who wait might get a better deal in the shape of the Huawei Mate 20. However, a new teaser on the manufacturer's Twitter account is hinting at another phone called the Mate 20X. It's a short 10-second clip showing a smartphone shrouded in a block of ice, revealed to be the Mate 20X by one of the hashtags. There are snippets of some mobile games and the words "cooler" and "longer gaming". Unfortunately, any official confirmation will not be provided until the October 16 event.
The Mate 20 Pro was spotted on AnTuTu, and it has managed to score a total of 313,561 across various tests. What do you think are going to be the top selling points of the Mate 20X? The fact that the person is holding a block of ice means the device has some sort of cooling system, as well as having a huge battery with the "longer gaming" term mentioned there. We are not so sure. However, if the latest leaks turn out to be accurate, the Huawei Mate 20 will beat the Xiaomi Mi 8 (almost) without breaking a sweat. Today, the company also confirmed to launch the Mate 20X as the third device in the all-new Mate 20 series. The expected Mate 20 Porsche Design is missing.
It's also rumored the Mate 20X will wield a massive 7.21-inch OLED display with a 2240x1080 resolution. Like the Mate 20, the Pro edition will run on the Kirin 980 chipset which uses a combination of eight ARM Cortex-A55 and Cortex-A76 cores.
The regular Mate 20 will feature a water-drop notch while the Pro version will come with the regular notch.
