The game also includes "Bad Ass Mega Fun Time", a way to slow down time in order to ready an attack more easily. Just previous year, Skyrim VR released for PlayStation VR and was quite similar to the original game but had just been adapted into VR. Borderlands 2 VR will be launching on the 14th of December, initially for PlayStation VR but the game could come to other platforms a little later down the line. This is a full-scale version of the game meaning it's Borderlands 2 as you know it with all the wild guns, the insane action, the fun characters, and more. Your speed and reflexes speed up, allowing you to pull off 360 no-scope headshots and dodge bullets, and use your action skill to add insult to injury.
VR itself hasn't been quite the mainstream breakthrough that some expected but the amount of experience Sony and its developers now have puts them considerably ahead of their rivals once the next generation begins. You'll also be able to take advantage of the "teleportation" system we see in many VR games, but will also be able to control your character's movements as normal via joysticks. No word of an HTC Vive or Oculus Rift release has been announced.
Borderlands was arguably one of the first big games to get the "looter shooter" genre off the ground.
Virtually immerse yourself in the untamed world of Borderlands. "Blast bandits with real-world aiming, punch psychos in the face, race across Pandora in stolen bandit vehicles and free Pandora from Handsome Jack's clutches!"
Shoot-and-loot with bazillions of procedurally-generated guns, each with their own capabilities and modifiers. For the first time in an official manner, Borderlands 2 will be playable in virtual reality starting later this year, with the new title coming exclusively to PlayStation VR. Plus, lust after procedurally-generated shields, grenades, relics, class mods and more for maximum power and mayhem! This ability slows down the game, giving you a chance to make your next move.
