The nation woke up to the shocking news of Vinta Nanda recounting the details of the horrific night, when Alok Nath had allegedly raped her.

A noted writer-producer Vinta Nanda on Monday took to social media to narrate her ordeal, where she accused senior actor Alok Nath of raping her and runing her career. I couldn't get up for my bed.

The latest allegation has been made by writer-director-producer Vinta Nanda.

Journalist Sandhya Menon who has been one of the main drivers of this phase of the movement in the country, has been sharing the deeply disturbing allegations she has been receiving from diverse women professionals made against industry stalwarts.

Veteran TV writer, producer and director Vinta Nanda, in a detailed Facebook post, has alleged that Alok Nath raped her a couple of times 19 years ago after he was sacked from their iconic show Tara for misbehaving with its lead actress.

Nanada went on to write that her drink was mixed with sedative during the party and she began to feel 'strange.' "As the evening flowed, my drinks were mixed and I began to feel unusual".

Later, she got a job to write and direct a series for Plus Channel, and again her paths crossed with Nath.

She also detailed Nath's alleged misbehavior on the sets of Tara, which was launched in 1993 as one of the first Indian TV shows that focused on the journey of a modern city woman. She had even filed a Rs 1 crore defamation complaint against him for calling her a "drug user". "We asked him to leave the sets and told him that he was not going to be on the show any longer". "In such a situation, it would be wrong to say anything". "I continued to write the show", she said.

She said it took her two decades to heal and she has waited 19 years to tell her story, adding that "The couple of times that I wrote about what I had gone through created more complications because I stopped getting work".

Alok Nath also went on to say that he is not affected with what people will say after being accused of sexual violation.
