It's an excellent smartphone for all those who're looking for a decently specced mid-ranger from Samsung. The announcement of the Galaxy A9 has come soon after the launch of Galaxy A7 (2018) which is the company's smartphone with triple rear cameras.

And that's not where the cameras end, since there is a 24MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 for all selfies and video calls. Samsung Galaxy A9 features an unspecified octa-core processor paired with either 6GB RAM or 8GB RAM.

The 3,800mAh battery charges over USB-C and Samsung continues to retain the 3.5mm headphone jack. Do you think Samsung will be able to pull it off?

For now, let's find out what the rest of the Galaxy A9 (2018) offers. It isn't clear how these cameras work seamlessly together, I'd assume the camera UI switches between lenses at various zoom levels, and all make use of the depth sensor for effects.

Samsung is scheduled to unveil its next-generation Galaxy A9 family of smartphones tomorrow, and one of the headlining features of the device will be its quad-camera setup on the back. On the front side, the phone has a 25MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture.

Speaking about the new A9, DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics, said: "As a global leader in smartphone innovation, we understand the demand for meaningful innovation in a fast-paced world driven by visual communication".

The primary camera is a 24MP offering which is the default option in auto mode, and the one which will give you best low light performance.

The Galaxy A9 has a 6.3-inch full HD AMOLED display that's edge to edge but with narrow bezels on the top and bottom.

Samsung's quad-camera smartphone is capable of taking ultra-wide, 120-degree panoramic shots and also boasts 2x optical zoom. The Oppo R17 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A7, and LG V40 ThinQ that launched in recent weeks all sport such cameras. It comes with 6/8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable with microSD cards with up to 512GB of space. The Samsung Galaxy A9 will arrive in three colors: caviar black, lemonade blue and bubblegum pink.
