Advocate Nitin Satpute told the channel, "We have filed a criminal and civil defamation case against Rakhi Sawant for maligning my client's character and image".

Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of Horn OK Please in 2008 and stated that when she turned down his unruly advances, he called up goons from the MNS party and they vandalised her auto and threathened her with dire consequences. The notice further goes back to the FIR lodged by Dutta in 2008 with Goregaon Police Station and state that it is mentioned that she had a problem with a scene in Horn Ok Pleassss and not Nana in particular so it is surprising how she is accusing him of sexual misconduct after ten years.

Following Rakhi's allegations, Tanushree Dutta, on Monday, has proceeded to file a defamation suit of Rs 10 Crore against Rakhi Sawant. "If she fails to revert, she will be punished for two years or fined or both".

It was Tanushree Dutta who started the much needed Me Too movement in India and now, it is encouraging to see that women are coming out with their stories of oppression and harassment, not just in film industry but everywhere else too. She was staying at my friend Bindu's house. Talking to Republic TV, Rakhi had accused Tanushree of seeking publicity.

On September 29, in response, Rakhi made several statements, calling her a liar and alleged that she was a drug user and that she was making the allegations for attention and publicity. She also challenged Tanushree to come face to face with her, and that she would slap her if she did.

In what looks like a replay of what transpired after actor Kevin Spacey was accused of multiple sexual offences, for actor Nana Patekar may now find his role removed from the under production comedy franchise Housefull 4.
