The Department of Justice will send staff to Tarrant County on Election Day to monitor the county's compliance with federal voting rights laws, the department announced Monday.

Officials said 38 percent of voters have already cast their ballots in the Sunshine State, a significant increase over the 2014 midterms. "This milestone is a testament to the hard work of thousands of election officials all across Georgia who are dedicated to secure, accessible, and fair elections for all". Some states were even approaching their early voting turnout from the 2016 presidential election.

Some Kern County voters were mistakenly given ballots that did not include a key county supervisorial race, reported the Bakersfield Californian.

Acceptable forms of ID include; social security card; ID issued by the US government; photo ID issued by Kentucky; credit card; county-issued ID pre-approved in writing by the State Board of Elections or another ID containing both your photo and signature. "That's as long as you're pre-registered to vote in that precinct", Hall said.

Early voting was more exciting for some than others. This can also be a photo ID along with a document showing your current name and address, such as a U.S. Passport and a phone bill dated within 30 days of the election.

The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act, which enables eligible voters to cast their votes electronically such as email, smartphone or fax.
