Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been hospitalized following a fall in her office. Still experiencing "discomfort overnight", she went to the George Washington Hospital, where she discovered that she'd fractured three ribs. She also was hospitalized after a bad reaction to medicine in 2009.
Ginsburg, who is the subject of a documentary, "RGB", and a new film, "On the Basis of Sex", said in an interview in July that she would like to stay on the court until she turns 90. Tests showed that she fractured three ribs on her left side, the statement said.
Ginsburg has survived a series of health scares. President Trump is among the dignitaries planning to attend the ceremony at the court. She broke two ribs in a fall in 2012. She previously had two bouts with cancer and had a stent placed to open a blocked artery in 2014.
But she has never missed Supreme Court arguments. But they can be very painful and controlling pain is key.
Ginsburg has grit and determination, and I only wish she applied that to upholding the plain text and original meaning of the Constitution, rather than toward twisting it to fit liberal Progressive pipe dreams. She is the eldest of the justices, but has not indicated that she plans to retire anytime soon.
