They say that you can tell a horse's well-being by the shine on its coat, if that is the case then Wild Illusion will win.

Those four standouts lead a contingent of 43 foreign-trained Breeders' Cup entries (44 if you count Quarteto de Cordas (BRZ), who will make his United States debut in the Turf for Ian Wilkes after racing in his native Brazil) that has the global barn bursting at the seams.

Then there is the two-time Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (G1) victor Enable (GB), who is favored in the Longines Breeders' Cup Turf (G1T).

"His last two big bits of work, we're very happy and we felt he's come forward again", O'Brien said.

The dual Arc victor Enable will be a warm order to become the first horse to win an Arc and Breeders' Cup in the same year rather than the ninth to have failed.

Game Winner's latest triumph included bumps along the way.

"It's important for the "World Championships" branding of Breeders' Cup that this be a truly worldwide event", said Breeders' Cup vice president of racing and nominations Dora Delgado. "She broke good and pulled me to the lead". The anticipated duel between the reigning Kentucky Oaks victor and her 2017 predecessor Abel Tasman never materialized, as Monomoy Girl made her move at the final turn and held off Wow Cat by a length for her sixth victory this season.

Jaywalk took the lead the first time under the wire in the Juveline Fillies, held the advantage throughout and went on to win by a commanding 5 1/2 lengths. It was the first Breeders' Cup victory for New York-based conditioner John Servis.

"Fantastic way to start", said Pletcher.

"He broke fine, but it looked like they took my spot and I had to go wide". Gaffalione urged Chelsea Cloisters closer around the far turn, and the pair marked a half-mile in unison in:46.89 around the turn for home. "As we got in to the straight, I asked him to pick up and the response wasn't there for about 100m".

- Newspaperofrecord rolled to another dominant victory, pulling away down the stretch for a 6 3/4-length win over East in the $1 million Juvenile Fillies Turf. Despite missing most of the season because of injury, Enable could make a run at Europe's top honor if she becomes the first horse to sweep the Arc and Turf in the same year. It was almost seven lengths back to Kevin Ryan's East under Jamie Spencer, with Aidan O'Brien's Just Wonderful taking fourth. Things will begin with the inaugural Juvenile Turf Sprint, a $1 million event to be run over 5 1/2 furlongs.

Rosario, who won the Juvenile Fillies on the back of Jaywalk earlier in the day, was looking to continue his winning ways when riding favorite Accelerate in the US$6 million Breeders' Cup Classic yesterday.

Bulletin won at first asking at Gulfstream Park Sept. 29 in the Hollywood Beach Stakes, leading all the way to a 7-lengths victory over firm turf.

The Breeders' Cup Classic will feature Thunder Snow from Dubai, Roaring Lion from England and Yoshida from Japan.
