The Vijay Krishna Acharya directorial is produced by Yash Raj Films and has incredible music composed by the very talented duo Ajay-Atul. Aamir Khan's weakest film this decade.
Bachchan plays Khudabaksh Jahaazi, a patriot who marshalls his people against a tyrannical British officer named Clive (Lloyd Owen).
In his review, Film critic and Trade analyst Taran Adarsh gave the film 2 stars and called it Disappointment. Although Aamir Khan's character Firangi seems to be modeled around Jack Sparrow, the action sequences of Thugs is nowhere close to Pirates of the Caribbean.
Amitabh Bachchan has little to do except fight and deliver some really loaded dialogues, Katrina Kaif has an inconsequential special appearance, Fatima Sana Shaikh shines but only briefly and Aamir Khan's jokes fall flat. But will find it hard to sustain after the initial euphoria settles down. Some engrossing moments in the first hour, that's about it. Formula-ridden plot, screenplay of convenience, shoddy direction are the main culprits'.

"The actor is known for springing in surprises and him being a part of the film makes the chances of Thugs of Hindostan being a success at the ticket counters even higher", suggested Johar.
Thugs Of Hindostan is releasing this Thursday and there is an impeccable buzz around it. It will be interesting to see if the film will surpass the day one collection of Sanju to become the top day one earner of 2018.
